THE BOOK'S CASTLE

HELLO DARLINGS! Last weekend’s sun was just an illusion and it’s raining again here in Paris!!! That’s incredible! Anyway, these are some photos I made some time ago at a nice castle near the city; it is actually the place where the events of the book “The Mystery of the Yellow Room” by Gaston Leroux happened. It is so fascinating when you can actually see places you imagined while reading old books, isn’t it?

For the trip I wore my favourite Cycle ripped jeans and my new Zara shoes; I love the sparkling ankle bracelets they have!

COUCOU MES CHÈRS! Le soleil du dernier weekend a été une petite illusion et à Paris il y a encore la pluie aujourd’hui! L J’ai pris ces photos il y a quelques semaines dans un château près de la ville; c’est ici que Gaston Leroux a mis en scène son roman “Le mystère de la chambre jaune”. C’est vraiment fascinant quand tu vois les endroits que tu t’imagine quand tu lis des vieux livres, n’est-ce pas? Pour le voyage j’ai mis mes jeans Cycle préférés et mes nouveaux escarpins Zara, j’adore leurs brillants bracelets à la cheville!!!

CIAO CARISSIMI! Il sole dello scorso weekend è stato una breve illusione e a Parigi regna di nuovo freddo e tempesta, incredibile!!! L Comunque, queste sono delle foto scattate un po’ di tempo fa presso un castello vicino alla ville; è qui che Gaston Leroux ha ambientato il suo romanzo “Il mistero della camera gialla”. È veramente affascinante vedere i posti che ti immagini quando leggi vecchi libri, vero? Per il viaggetto ho indossato i miei jeans Cycle preferiti e le mie nuove scarpette di Zara, adoro queste cavigliere luccicanti!

VINTAGE EASTER

Happy Easter dear followers!

I hope you are enjoying those few days off :) Yesterday, I stayed home all the day; Edo also convinced me to play with the Xbox, something that I NEVER do.

Today, on the other hand, first we had brunch in a brasserie near home and then we found some time for a little shooting. It’s been a while I was looking for something to match with this vintage shirt (it was my grandma’s!) and without even thinking about it, I bought this Zara skirt that fits it so well! I’m so happy about the whole outfit!

The location is called Hôtel de Soubise, a city mansion, which once belonged to prince and princess de Soubise (and also to one of Louis XIV’s mistresses!). Now it hosts the Museum of French History and the national archives.

Before coming back home we bought some ice cream at Amorino’s… Super good and super lovely!

J’espère que vous avez profité de ces courtes vacances :) Hier, je me sentais paresseuse et je suis restée à la maison toute la journée ; Edo m’a aussi convaincue à jouer avec l’Xbox, une chose que je ne fais JAMAIS.

Aujourd’hui on a fait un brunch chez une brasserie prés de chez nous et évidemment on a fait un petit shooting après. C’était depuis pas mal de temps que je cherchais quelque chose à combiner avec ce chemisier vintage (il était à ma grand-mère !) et, sans même pas y penser, j’ai acheté cette jupe chez Zara qui va parfaitement avec ! Je suis très satisfait de ce outfit !

La lieu est l’Hôtel de Soubise, un hôtel particulier qui autrefois été propriété du prince et princesse de Soubise (et même d’une maitresse de Louis XIV !) et qu’aujourd’hui héberge le Musée de L’Histoire de France et les archives nationales.

Avant de retourner chez nous, on a acheté de la glace chez Amorino… Super bon et super chou !

Spero vi stiate godendo queste brevi vacanze :) Io ho ciabattato a casa tutto il giorno ieri; Edo mi ha persino convinto a giocare con l’Xbox, cosa che non faccio MAI.

Oggi invece abbiamo fatto un bel brunch in una brasserie poco distante da casa e ovviamente un piccolo shooting. Era da mesi che cercavo qualcosa da abbinare a questa camicetta vintage (era di mia nonna!) e senza nemmeno farci caso ho comprato questa gonna di Zara che ci va a pennello! Sono troppo contenta di questo outfit!

La location è l’Hôtel de Soubise, un palazzo un tempo proprietà del principe e della principessa di Soubise (e anche di un’amante di Luigi XIV!), che oggi ospita il Museo della Storia di Francia e gli archivi nazionali.

Prima di tornare a casa siamo passati a prendere il gelato da Amorino… Buonissimo e amorevolissimo!

 

TRIP TO………..PLACE VENDÔME!

Last Sunday it was sunny and quite warm here in Paris, so we decided to do something that we haven’t done in some time: a car trip around the city! Of course we snapped some shots before lunch. As you can see, I chose a cosy look with my favourite Bambi sweatshirt by the Italian brand Fix Design (actually the name of this particular cartoon line now is Duck Farm).

The location is Place Vendôme, a famous square in the 1^st arrondissement, characterised by a high column, built in the 19^th century.

The square itself has a long history, but today it is mostly known for the Ritz Hotel, the jewellers and those lovely luxury boutiques surrounding it: Van Cleef & Arpels, Dior, Buccellati, Mikimoto, Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Rolex, Jaeger LeCoultre and others.

Unfortunately, on Sunday they were all closed, so I couldn’t give you an idea of their windows, I’m sorry!!!

Dimanche dernier il faisait plutôt chaud et il y avait un beau soleil ici à Paris, donc on a pensé de faire quelque chose qu’on ne faisait depuis quelque temps : un tour en voiture en ville! Evidemment on a pris des photos avant le déjeuner.

Comme vous pouvez le voir, j’ai choisi mon pull préféré avec Bambi <3. La marque est italienne, Duck Farm par Fix Design.

La localité est Place Vendôme, une place très connue dans le 1^er arrondissement,  qui est caractérisée par une grande colonne au milieu, construite pendant le 19ème siècle.  

La place même a une longe histoire, mais aujourd’hui elle est surtout connue pour l’Hotel Ritz, toutes les joailleries et les boutiques de luxe que l’entourent : Van Cleef & Arpels, Dior, Buccellati, Mikimoto, Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Rolex, Jaeger LeCoultre et d’autres.

Malheureusement, le dimanche ils sont tous fermés, donc je ne peux pas vous les montrer d’avantage, désolée !!!

Domenica scorsa era piuttosto caldo e soleggiato qui a Parigi, dunque abbiamo deciso di fare qualcosa che non facevamo da un po’: un giro in auto per la città! Prima di pranzo ci siamo ovviamente fermati per qualche scatto. Per questa giornata ho scelto un look abbastanza easy con la mia felpa di Bambi preferita. Il brand è italiano, Fix Design, anche se a dire il vero questa linea con i cartoni animati è chiamata Duck Farm.

La location che vedete è Place Vendôme, una famosa piazza nel primo arrondissement, caratterizzata da un’alta colonna eretta nel 19esimo secolo.

La piazza stessa ha una lunga storia, anche se oggi è conosciuta soprattutto per il Ritz, le molte gioiellerie e le boutique di lusso come Van Cleef & Arpels, Dior, Buccellati, Mikimoto, Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Rolex e Jaeger LeCoultre.

Sfortunatamente la domenica è tutto chiuso, quindi non posso mostrarvi queste meravigliose vetrine, mi dispiace !!!

DOLCE & GABBANA FW 2014

Oh my God, have you seen Dolce & Gabbana’s last collection? They are my favourite designers since ages, but this last collection is simply stunning! The inspiration was again Sicily, in particular the Byzantine Cathedrals with their mosaics.

They incredibly managed to represent the artistic products of the Eastern Roman on their clothes and accessories, taking us back in the XI century.

The main fabrics? Wool and silk organza, brocade, obviously lace. The accessories? Big, opulent, cross earrings encrusted with coloured stones, embroideries, filigree bags, mosaic sculpted heels. And as icing on the cake, what’s the best way to feel like a byzantine princess if not with a wonderful gold crown?

I would kill to have one of those pieces! And you?

Oh mon Dieu! Est-ce que vous avez vu la dernière collection de Dolce & Gabbana ? Ce sont mes créateurs préfères depuis des années, mais cette dernière collection est simplement incroyable ! L’inspiration a été encore une foi la Sicile, en particulier les Cathédrales Byzantines avec leurs mosaïques. Ils ont réussi de manière fabuleuse à mettre les produits artistiques des Romains de l’Est sur leurs robes et accessoires, en nous emmenant dans le XIème siècle.

Les tissus utilisés ? Laine et organdi de soie, brocart, et évidemment le dentelle. Les accessoires ? Boucles d’oreilles grandes et opulentes, incrustées avec des pierres précieuses, broderies, sacs en filigrane, talons sculptes en mosaïques. Et, enfin, est-ce qu’il y a un meilleur moyen pour se sentir comme une vraie princesse byzantine d’une merveilleuse couronne?

Je tuerais pour avoir un des ces pièces! Et vous?

OMG, ditemi che anche voi avete visto l’ultima collezione di Dolce & Gabbana… Ok, sono i miei designer preferiti da quando avevo 16 anni, ma questa collezione è veramente sublime!

Anche questa volta la Sicilia è stata fonte d’ispirazione, in particolare le cattedrali bizantine con i loro splendidi mosaici. I due stilisti sono incredibilmente riusciti a trasformare i prodotti artistici degli antichi Romani d'Oriente in magnifici abiti e accessori, portandoci indietro con l’immaginazione nell’undicesimo secolo.

I tessuti principali? Lana e organza di seta, broccati e ovviamente pizzo. Gli accessori? Opulenti orecchini a croce con pietre colorate incastonate, ricami, borse di filigrana, tacchi altissimi scolpiti con mosaici. E, ciliegina sulla torta, cosa c’è di meglio di una bellissima corona dorata per sentirsi una vera principessa bizantina?

Davvero, ucciderei per avere uno di questi pezzi! E voi? 

VALENTINE'S DAY AU CAFÉ DE LA PAIX

Hello everybody! I hope you had an exciting Valentine’s Day and you got nice presents!

Edo took me to one of the most beautiful and historical Parisian restaurants, the “Café de la Paix”, in the Opera Square. The restaurant is part of the “Intercontinental Paris Le Grand” hotel, which was inaugurated in 1862, during the empire of Napoleon III, and since its opening it attracted lot of artists, writers and actors like Oscar Wilde, Guy de Maupassant, Maria Callas and Marlene Dietrich.

You could almost feel the history in the air; I think it’s my favourite place in whole Paris. It was such a magical evening, thank you so much Eddy :)

Coucou tout le monde ! Avez-vous passé une bonne St. Valentin ? J’espère que vous aviez reçu de très mignons cadeaux <3

Edo m’a emmenée dîner dans un des plus beaux et historiques restaurants de Paris, le « Café de la Paix », sur place de l’Opéra. Le restaurant fait partie du « Intercontinental Paris Le Grand », inauguré en 1862, pendant le royaume de Napoléon III et dès son ouverture il a attiré artistes, écrivains et acteurs comme Oscar Wilde, Guy de Maupassant, Maria Callas et Marlene Dietrich.

Il y avait décidemment un parfum d’histoire dans ces lieux, je pense bien que c’est mon endroit préféré à Paris. J’ai passé une soirée vraiment magique, merci Eddy :)

Edo mi ha portato a cena in uno dei ristoranti più antichi e belli di Parigi, il “Café de la Paix”, nella piazza dell’Opera. Si sentiva davvero un incredibile profumo di storia nell’aria, credo sia il mio posto preferito in tutta Parigi. Ho passato veramente una serata incantevole, grazie Eddy :)

LITTLE GIRLS' DREAMS

This evening I feel inspired. Maybe it’s because I had too much Red Bull to finish a school project or maybe because it’s snowing, I don’t know. Here in the warmth of my apartment, I've decided to talk you about dreams, or better, about clothes that make you dream.

Those you whish to wear since childhood, when you first read the Cinderella story, clothes that leave you open mouth when you see them in the shops: wedding dresses.

I’ve been a very lucky child; I have a wonderful mum who has always worked in weddings and since I was 4, I hit the scene modelling for her.

This is a shooting I had a couple of years ago, wearing different Atelier Aimée dresses; it was just a game, I’ve never thought about publishing it for real! I hope you like it.

Ce soir je suis inspirée. Peut-être pour toute la Red Bull que j’ai bu pour finir un projet d’école ou parce-qu’il neige, je ne sais pas. Ici bien au chaud dans mon appartement j’ai décidé de vous parler de rêves, ou plutôt de robes qui font rêver.

Celles que l’on désire mettre depuis qu’on est petites, quand on découvre l’histoire de Cendrillon, et qui n’arrêtent jamais de nous laisser bouche bée devant à une vitrine.

Bon, j’ai été une petite fille avec de la chance ; j’ai une maman fantastique qui a toujours travaillé dans le milieu et dès 4 ans, elle m’a mis en scènes pour ses magasins.

Ceci sont quelques photos que j’ai faites en 2011, où je portais des robes Atelier Aimée ; c’était un jeu, pour une amie photographe, et je n’aurais jamais pensé de les publier vraiment !

Stasera mi sento ispirata. Sarà per le troppe Red Bull che ho bevuto per finire un progetto per scuola, oppure perché sta nevicando, non so. Beh, nel caldino di casa ho deciso di parlarvi di sogni, o meglio, di abiti che fanno sognare.

Quelli che si desiderano indossare fin da piccole, quando scopri la storia di Cenerentola, e che non finiscono mai di lasciarti a bocca aperta davanti ad una vetrina: gli abiti da sposa.

Si dà il caso che io sia stata una bimba molto fortunata; ho una mamma fantastica che ha sempre lavorato in questo campo e fin da piccola mi ha messa in passerella per i suoi negozi.

Questi sono degli scatti di un paio d’anni fa, dove indossavo abiti Atelier Aimée; l’ho fatto per gioco, per un’amica fotografa, e non avrei mai pensato di pubblicarlo davvero!

BEHIND BLUE EYES

Hi everybody!

I knooooow it’s been a while since the last update... But you know, the holidays, some fever and obviously the rain weren’t the ideal conditions for pics. 

During my time off, I went back to Italy and celebrated the new year’s eve in Ponte di Legno, a nice, touristic location in the mountains with my friends and Edo. It was soooo nice, I really had fun and realized I miss Italy a lot. Edo and I also spent two days in Courmayeur before coming back to Paris again. But unfortunately I felt a bit sicky and stayed home most of the time. 

I got very chic presents for Christmas, the ones I liked most have been a beautiful, white Chanel bag, a little black dress that should always be in everybody’s wardrobe and a new outfit from BCBG (love love love the brand) which I’m wearing today with my new eye colour:). And you, what did you get for Xmas?

Coucou tout le monde!

Je sais, je sais, ça fait longtemps depuis mon dernier post, mais j’ai eu les vacances, de la fièvre et naturellement la pluie; bref, pas les conditions idéales pour des photos.

Pendant mes jours libres, je suis allée en Italie et j’ai fêté la fin de l’an avec mes amis et Edo à Ponte di Legno, un beau petit village touristique sur les montagnes. La soirée a été si belle que je me suis rendue compte que l’Italie me manque beaucoup. 

Avec Edo, je suis aussi allée trois jours à Courmayeur, avant de retourner à Paris. Malheureusement, j’ai été un peu malade et j’ai passé la plupart du temps à la maison. 

J’ai reçu de très beaux cadeaux pour Noël; mes préférés sont un nouveau sac Chanel blanc, une petite robe noire qui devrait être toujours dans l’armoire de chaque fille et un nouveau outfit BCBG (j’aime j’aime j’aime le brand) que j’ai mis aujourd’hui avec mon nouveau couleur des yeux. Et vous, qu'est-ce que vous avez reçu pour Noel?

Sono pessima, lo so... Non  aggiorno il blog da una vita!!! Tra le vacanze, la febbre e ovviamente la pioggia parigina, non sono mai riuscita a fare le foto.

Comunque, durante questi giorni di libertà, sono tornata in Italia e ho festeggiato capodanno con Edo e altri miei amici a Ponte di Legno, una località turistica in montagna. La serata è stata veramente bella, tanto che mi sono resa conto di quanto mi manca l’Italia.

Prima di tornare a Parigi, Edo ed io ci siamo fermati tre giorni a Courmayeur; purtroppo ero già un po’ raffreddata e sono rimasta in casa praticamente tutto il tempo.

Per Natale ho ricevuto regali molto chic; quelli di cui sono più entusiasta sono una nuova borsa di Chanel bianca, un little black dress che fa sempre comodo avere nell’armadio e una nuova mise BCBG che ho deciso di indossare oggi con le lenti a contatto azzurre. E voi, cosa avete ricevuto per natale?

Did you had a good weekend? On Thursday I went to Galeries Lafayette with Edo for some Christmas shopping:) But I couldn’t resist and I bought me a fur hat, which is exactly of the same colour of my fur coat, isn’t that incredible? I can’t wait to wear them together on the snow!!!

My outfit inspiration for today was the last Moschino collection; I don’t remember if I already told you, but I love love love Moschino! My friends always make fun of me calling me “The Moschino Girl”... :)

Anyway, during my tour I also found an amazing green coat by Tara Jarmon; it HAS to be my next purchase <3

Est-ce que vous avez passé un bon weekend? Jeudi je suis allée aux Galeries Lafayette avec Edo pour un peu de shopping de Noël:) Je n’ai pas pu résister et je me suis achetée un nouveau chapeau de fourrure, qui incroyablement est de le même couleur de ma fourrure, j’ai hâte de les mettre ensemble sur la neige!!!

L’inspiration pour mon outfit à été la dernière collection de Moschino; peut être que je vous l’ai déjà dit mais j’aime j’aime j’aime Moschino à la folie! Mes copines pour se moquer de moi, m’appelle “La Fille Moschino”... :)

Entre autre, pendant mon tour j’ai aussi trouvé une très belle veste verte de Tara Jarmon; trop mignonne hein? Elle sera surement mon prochain achat <3

Avete passato un buon weekend? Giovedì sono andata alle Galeries Lafayette con Edo per fare un po’ di shopping natalizio... e non ho potuto evitare di comprarmi un nuovo colbacco. Oltre ad essere meraviglioso è anche dello stesso colore della pelliccia, non vedo l’ora di indossarli entrambi sulla neve!!!

L’ispirazione per il mio outfit é stata l’ultima collezione di Moschino; forse ve l’ho già detto, ma io AMO questo brand, tant’è che sono stata ribattezzata dalle mie compagne di scuola “The Moschino Girl”... :)

Comunque, durante il mio tour ho anche trovato un bellissimo cappotto verde di Tara Jarmon, non è adorabile? Sarà sicuramente il mio prossimo acquisto! <3
