RIPPED JEANS IN VERSAILLES

One of the advantages of living in Paris is that you can buy a baguette, some cheese, olives and a bottle of wine and have a picnic at Versailles, just in 20 minutes by car.
That’s exactly what Edo and I did last Sunday.
Parisian weather was merciful with us, so we decided to visit only the gardens, keeping the visit of the inside for next winter. It was a good idea, since the park is really enormous. Every corner has its peculiarities: the Bacchus and the Apollo’s fountain, the Colonnade, the Ballroom, the tall white statues… really, every 20 meters, there is some secret to discover. Even a funny cat that was sleeping under a tree!
My favourite part was maybe the Orangerie, a large area with a pool, four gardens with the same dimension and similar geometric design and of course hundreds of orange threes. I wonder how many love stories have born in those gardens and how many intrigues were hidden behind the hedges!
We also saw an amazing spectacle of musical waterworks that we enjoyed so much. It was so romantic <3. I can’t wait to come back and see the rest of the palace!

AFRICAN SKIRT

Hi people! It’s been a while… I’m very busy at work and, since I discovered Mario Kart for Wii U, I don’t have much time for the blog. :)
I’ve just come back from Italy and, between a risotto and a lasagna, I made some good Italian shopping. I wanted to show you this skirt I bought in Brescia, which I totally adore.
These colourful African motives remind me Stella Jean’s collections (I talked about her style in this post).  I like when designers take traditional clothes from exotic cultures and re-think them in our flavour.
I actually discovered that she is also doing menswear! It’s quite expensive but the wow effect is guarantee.

ON THE ROOF

Paris looked from above is even more beautiful, don’t you think? These are some pics we took the same day as the post "Chicmas is coming" on the roof of Printemps.

QUELLE LINGERIE MAGNIFIQUE!

Have you already chosen your dress for the upcoming parties? I think that, to be really chic, also the lingerie should be amazing, doesn't it?
Here are the brands I love.

Chantal Thomass, sexy and classy, definitely French.

I adore La Perla, its refined fabrics and sophisticated lines.

Here is Aubade, another lovely luxury French brand.

I have a weakness for Agent Provocateur, founded by Vivienne Westwood's son.

CHICMAS IS COMING…

CHRISTMAS IN PARIS is a big deal. Since the beginning of November, Parisian people start with the decorations all around the streets and the competition for the most beautiful windows between Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, Le Bon Marché and the BHV Marais begins. Key difference: Bon Marché and BHV rely on the design, while Printemps and Galeries Lafayette like to tell story; they are more playful, I would say. And they are my favourite!
Since last year my blog entry was dedicated to Lafayette, this year I wanted to show you Le Bon Marché and Printemps (which was sponsored by Parda *.* ).
I hope you guys like the pictures because taking them hasn’t been easy at all!
For this Christmas tour I wore the Tara Jarmon red coat I adore, a super soft pullover by Elisabetta Franchi and a new Zara ethnic skirt. I think it’s a pretty much chicmas choice!

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS ICON OF STYLE 2013

SOBERTY, a word well known by Parisian girls, seems to be the motto of this winter 2013. Dark colours, simple cuts, prudish dresses. Like a Wednesday Addams style, opposing the untamed ostentation of nowadays.
So, “make your skirts longer, button the shirts up and lower the heels!”, fashion magazines prescribe, and last but not least, keep in the wardrobe accessories that are to much…. much.
What do you think about it???

THE NOVEL OF A WARDROBE, the Parisian chic from the Belle Epoque to the 1930. Last sunday I went to this lovely exposition at Musée Carnavalet in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, like 50 meters from my house. I enjoyed spying in the wardrobe of an elegant Parisian girl of the 20th century; there were the first Jeanne Lanvin’s creations, but also Worth’s and Paul Poiret’s, the most important designers of that time. Really beautiful models.
The masterpiece of my outfit was the Céline t-shirt, which I combined with a golden necklace, a striped Zara skirt and of course my beloved white fur.
By the way, do you like my “multiple-personalities” pic?? :D

THE NOVEL OF A WARDROBE, the Parisian chic from the Belle Epoque to the 1930.

THE NOVEL OF A WARDROBE, the Parisian chic from the Belle Epoque to the 1930.
