OH LA LA! QUELLE LINGERIE MAGNIFIQUE!

Have you already chosen your dress for the upcoming parties? I think that, to be really chic, also the lingerie should be amazing, doesn't it?
Here are the brands I love.

Chantal Thomass, sexy and classy, definitely French.

I adore La Perla, its refined fabrics and sophisticated lines.

Here is Aubade, another lovely luxury French brand.

I have a weakness for Agent Provocateur, founded by Vivienne Westwood's son.

CHICMAS IS COMING…

CHRISTMAS IN PARIS is a big deal. Since the beginning of November, Parisian people start with the decorations all around the streets and the competition for the most beautiful windows between Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, Le Bon Marché and the BHV Marais begins. Key difference: Bon Marché and BHV rely on the design, while Printemps and Galeries Lafayette like to tell story; they are more playful, I would say. And they are my favourite!
Since last year my blog entry was dedicated to Lafayette, this year I wanted to show you Le Bon Marché and Printemps (which was sponsored by Parda *.* ).
I hope you guys like the pictures because taking them hasn’t been easy at all!
For this Christmas tour I wore the Tara Jarmon red coat I adore, a super soft pullover by Elisabetta Franchi and a new Zara ethnic skirt. I think it’s a pretty much chicmas choice!

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS ICON OF STYLE 2013

SOBERTY, a word well known by Parisian girls, seems to be the motto of this winter 2013. Dark colours, simple cuts, prudish dresses. Like a Wednesday Addams style, opposing the untamed ostentation of nowadays.
So, “make your skirts longer, button the shirts up and lower the heels!”, fashion magazines prescribe, and last but not least, keep in the wardrobe accessories that are to much…. much.
What do you think about it???

THE NOVEL OF A WARDROBE, the Parisian chic from the Belle Epoque to the 1930. Last sunday I went to this lovely exposition at Musée Carnavalet in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, like 50 meters from my house. I enjoyed spying in the wardrobe of an elegant Parisian girl of the 20th century; there were the first Jeanne Lanvin’s creations, but also Worth’s and Paul Poiret’s, the most important designers of that time. Really beautiful models.
The masterpiece of my outfit was the Céline t-shirt, which I combined with a golden necklace, a striped Zara skirt and of course my beloved white fur.
By the way, do you like my “multiple-personalities” pic?? :D

THE NOVEL OF A WARDROBE, the Parisian chic from the Belle Epoque to the 1930.

THE NOVEL OF A WARDROBE, the Parisian chic from the Belle Epoque to the 1930.

A BIRTHDAY GIRL AT MOULIN ROUGE

SHOPPING ALL DAY & MOULIN ROUGE ALL NIGHT, what a perfect combination! That’s what Edo organised for my 24th birthday. I got a pair of glasses, a Valentino vintage dress, a lovely bonnet with a fur ponpon and the book “The world according to Karl”, my new Bible.
So, after an intense shopping afternoon we got all well dressed and we went to Montmartre to see a beautiful spectacle at the Moulin Rouge. Acrobats, ventriloques, boas, the most beautiful dancers ever, clowns, poneys, cancan and a lot of champagne of course! I enjoyed it madly :)

THE AMAZING CITY OF REIMS

CULTURE AND CHAMPAGNE; this is what the city of Reims is all about. Edo and I decided to visit it yesterday and we spent such a great day!
We left Paris around 11 am and in an hour and a half we were there. After a little tour to look for somewhere to eat, we discovered the most strange restaurant ever. It is called “Café du Palais” and it was founded in 1930; it was fuuuuull of the most particular things, like statues with vintage hats, old clocks, enormous chandeliers, Japanese sculptures and also one of the three Wise Men! And, icing on the cake, a noisy but highly entertaining group of Dutch Hell’s Angels, a famous club of Harley fans that we befriended.
After lunch, we visited Reims’ Cathedral, which reminds me of Notre-Dame, with its gothic style and majesty.
Unfortunately it started to rain (strange uh?), and we didn’t have the chance to make many pics around the city. So we left for visiting the Veuve Clicquot cellars.
We discovered so many things I didn’t know! Like, the cellars were chalk caves before and they were used for the champagne since the temperature never rises above 10°. After 40 years of service for the Maison Clicquot, an employee has the right to give his name for a “room” of the cave. The rosé champagne as we know it nowadays was invented by Madame Clicquot herself. In fact, while now it is obtained by a mix of white and red raisins, before it was just coloured in pink with artificial colorants or liquors and the taste was exactly like the normal one. Plus, at the beginning of its production, only women could drink the rosé; men could only do it the night before marriage. It was so interesting!
After the visit we had “la dégustation” and the champagne was even better than I remembered it :). Of course, we made some shopping at the boutique. A freeze-bag called “The Traveller” which holds a bottle and two flûtes. Like a sir and a lady!

"Click to see more" for the French and Italian version.
